Minister of Agricultural Jihad Mahmoud Hojjati underlined expansion of agricultural cooperation between Iran and Slovenia and said considering geographical location of the country, it can facilitate trade between Iran and Europe.

He made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Slovenian Minister of Economic Development and Technology Zdravko Pocivalsek here on Monday.
Hojjati said that Slovenia is located on the route to northern and western Europe and enjoys excellent position because of its access to open seas.
The minister reminded that since many years ago Iran has been exporting nuts, pistachioes, saffron, dates and raisins to Europe.
Iran wants to expand its relations with the interantional community, especially Balkan countries, and it is hoped that once anti-Iran sanctions are lifted, economic relations between the two countries would expand.
Hojjati added that unfortunately in spite of widescale capacities pf the two countries, current level of mutual cooperation is not acceptable.
