Deputy Economy Minister of Austria Bernadette Gerlinger felicitated Iran’s success in ending nuclear issue and underlined her country’s intention to promote cooperation between Tehran and Vienna.

She made the remarks on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of World Trade Organization in Kenya on Wednesday and in a meeting with Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh.

Gerlinger also expressed Austria’s interest to accelerate Iran’s joining process to WTO and said that they will take necessary action in this regard.

Referring to several meetings held between officials of the two countries, Nematzadeh said that banking problems should be removed at first as an obstacle in bilateral trade ties.

He also referred to a number of existing obstacles in the way of joining the organization.

Nematzadeh, who is in Kenya to attend the WTO meeting, also met with foreign ministers on the sidelines of the meeting concerning Iran’s programs for joining the organization.

He will also meet Kenyan politico-economic and monetary officials as well as Iranian businessmen residing in the country.
