Belarus Ambassador to Tehran Victor Ribak on Monday called for enhanced trade ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Ribak made the remarks in a meeting with members of Chamber of Commerce of Kashan city.
He said that Iran and Belarus enjoy good economic and trade relations and that bilateral economic cooperation is expanding.
The ambassador said that Belarus maintained sustainable trade ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran during the arbitrary sanctions.
Ribak said that half of Belarus foreign trade with Iran is on industrial machinery and petrochemicals.
The ambassador said that Belarus government is willing to cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of mines development.
He said that Belarus bus manufacturing company got involved in setting up assembly line of bus in Tabriz to commission soon.
The ambassador said that currently Belarus has truck and trailer assembly line operating in Tabriz.
He said that three Iranian goods exhibitions were held in Belarus and Iranian goods like carpet and herbs are favorite for the Belarus customers.
Ribak stressed necessity of opening permanent stores after displaying goods in an exhibition and said that there is no obstacle in the way of mass sale of Iranian goods in Belarus.
Referring to importance of marketing and knowledge of businessmen and industrialists as well as economic activists about taste of Belarus people, Ribak proposed that Iranian businessmen would pay a visit to Belarus.
He said that in the past five years commercial exchange between Iran and Belarus exceeded 100 million dollars.
