The Iranian Ministry of Petroleum will support expansion of technical cooperation with Slovenia, said a deputy minister.
This is to facilitate transfer of technology to Iran, Hossein Zamani-Nia told Shana after his meeting with the Slovenian Economy Minister Zdravko Počivalšek in Tehran.
“In this meeting, we discussed increasing cooperation in laying oil and gas pipelines, purchasing technical equipment and transfer of technology.”
He said the Slovenian delegation intends to foster collaborations in the fields of energy, communications, environment, science and industry.
Zamani-Nia added since the Ministry of Petroleum intends to improve its techno-engineering services, its cooperation with Slovenia will mainly focus on importing the required technical know-how to this end.
“Ties between Iran and Slovenia has improved since the 11th government assumed office in 2013. Slovenia has expressed willingness to increase import of petrochemicals from Iran.”
