Visiting Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn met with Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani here on Wednesday afternoon.

In the meeting, Asselborn expressed pleasure for his visit to Iran and said that we hope sanctions could be lifted soon and relations of countries with Iran expanded and Luxembourg is very interested in economic investment in Iran.

He said that Luxembourg is heart of Europe Financial affairs and if economical exchanges establish between the two countries, political and cultural exchanges will also increase.

Asselborn said that we hope an agreement concerning cancellation of double taxation between the two countries could be signed and I am proposing the offer.

He stressed that establishment of tranquility in the region is very important and basic, because crisis in the region will endanger security in European countries.

The visiting Foreign Minister of Luxembourg expressed hope that effective countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, Russia and the US could reach agreement on ways to demolish terrorism roots.

He added that we never consider terrorist groups like ISIL as Islam or Muslim and we believe they connected themselves to Islam to misportray it.

Asselborn expressed hope that European countries join other states to form a real coalition to destroy roots of terrorism in the world.

Jean Asselborn arrived in Tehran on Tuesday and met with President Hassan Rouhani, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and discussed bilateral ties and regional crises
