Lee Myeong-jin, a senior official with the South Korean company Hyundai Dymos said on Tuesday Iran boasts the required raw material for auto industry and therefore is capable of developing the industry.

Speaking to IRNA on the sidelines of an exclusive South Korean exhibition in Tehran, Lee said that his company is ready for any kind of cooperation with Iran.

Hyundai Dymos produces different sedans, four-wheel drive cars, buses and trucks and is a subsidiary of Hyundai Motors which is the South Korea’s main automaker and the second largest automaker in Asia, Lee said.

He said that Iranian consumers are firstly concerned about the costs and secondly about the quality and that the products of Hyundai Dymos can satisfy the Iranian customers.

The company has so far been active in North America, Europe and China and it is now seeking a foothold in the Middle East, Lee said, adding that Iran can be a proper place for manufacturing the company’s products and exporting them to other regional countries.
