The 14th International Agriculture Exhibition opened in Isfahan International Fairground Saturday and will work until December 1.
The ongoing event is attended by companies from the Iranian provinces of Isfahan, Tehran, Khorasan Razavi, Fars Qom, Golestan, Mazandaran, Hamedan and Yazd as well as representatives from China and Italy.
The companies are involved in irrigation equipment, agricultural services and specialized publications.
Managing director of the international Isfahan Agriculture Exhibition Rasoul Mohaqqeqian said that some 2,000 specialists have so far voiced readiness to visit the exhibition.
Specialized workshops on mechanization and water and soil will also be held on the sidelines of the event.
Meanwhile, head of the provincial Agriculture Jihad Organization Qodratollah Qasemi told the inaugural ceremony that three exhibitions pertaining to agriculture are held in Isfahan each year.
Referring to the incumbent government’s programs to mechanize the agricultural sector, he added that a loan of 2,550 billion Tomans has been earmarked for buying agricultural machinery and tools since 2013, of which 70 billion Tomans belonged to Isfahan province.
