First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri said on Sunday that the government is determined to pace up economic growth in the post-sanctions era.

Addressing the 12th Iran Petrochemical Forum (IPF), Jahangiri said that the 6th Development Plan will be based on the principles of resistance economy.

Jahangiri noted that resistance economy will play a significant policy role in the post-sanctions era and said that the petrochemical industry is a main example.

He said that the 6th Economic, Social and Cultural Development Plan will be discussed in the cabinet within next few weeks.

Jahangiri underlined that creating jobs, boosting welfare and improving living standards of the Iranian nation are among the country’s main plans for the next 10 years.

Iran Petrochemical Forum (IPF) opened in Tehran earlier today with participation of Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and representatives from 97 companies active in the area of petrochemical industry from 25 countries.
