Deputy Foreign Minister for Euro-American Affairs Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi welcoming foreign investments in Iran said that inking contracts between foreign companies with Iranian sides in the fields of energy, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and steel industry, agriculture and car manufacturing is important.

According to a report by Foreign Ministry Media Department on Saturday, Ravanchi made the remarks in an address to a meeting of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ljubljana.
In the meeting, a number of directors and representatives of Slovenian trade companies and banks discusses ways of promoting economic cooperation between Iran and Slovenia.
Ravanchi said the two countries can cooperate in the fields of energy, oil, gas, construction, transportation, mine, agriculture, steel and pharmaceutical industries.
He added that Iran welcomea cooperation and investment in these fields and to this end it has prepared necessary grounds for presence of Slovenian firms in Iran.
He also referred to stability and security in Iran as an important factor for Slovenian companies’ investment in Iran’s free trade zones.
