Export of technical-engineering services in electricity sector stand at $30 billion a year an alternative for the oil and gas revenues, Deputy Energy Minister Hooshang Falahatian said on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the 12th International Energy Exhibition, Falahatian said that Iran’s exports of technical-engineering services in the electricity sector have increased 10-fold.
During the sanctions, many power plants were built through efforts of Iranian industrialists to supply electricity, Falahatian said, adding that this capacity has to be utilized in the post-sanctions era.
Through efficient interaction with credible European companies in the post-sanctions era, Iran can improve the quality of its products and have a more active presence in global markets, he said.
