A memorandum of understanding (MoU) on water resources management was signed by Iran’s Ministry of Energy and South African Energy Ministry in Tehran.
The MoU was signed by Minister of Energy Hamid Chitchian and his counterpart from South Africa Tina Joemat-Pettersson in the presence of the presidents of both countries.
The MoU deals with cooperation in water resources management, water qualification management and water treatment, management of water demand and efficient usage of water, development of water resources infrastructures, industrial equipment, research and renovation in water field and industrial equipment concerning waste water treatment.
President Jacob Zuma arrived in Tehran on Sunday morning at the head of a 180-member politico-economic delegation and during his 2-day stay here eight cooperation documents were signed in the presence of presidents of both countries.
