A top official of Germany’s reputable BASF Company said here on Tuesday the firm is ready to assist Iran in renovation of its refineries and petrochemical complexes.
Carl K. Lee who was speaking at the 2015 International Iran-Catalyst Conference said that Iran is among the few regions in the world where BASF is absent, but expressed hope that its presence in Iranian market will be ensured in the future.
‘We have begun negotiations with a number of Iranian companies so that after the termination of sanctions BASF will begin its activities in various oil, gas and petrochemical projects,’ he added.
The international marketing manager of the German firm after elaborating on the oil industry activities of BASF said that the firm has high expertise in the catalysts, refineries and petrochemical industries field.
Emphasizing renovation in production of catalysts, Lee said that there are now 3,000 research projects worth 2 billion euros under survey in the catalysts department of the firm.
