Holland’s energy minister here on Monday announced his country’s readiness for international cooperation in the energy field, arguing that harmony among Gas Exporting Countries Forum member countries can lead to innovations in the field.
Hang Cum who was speaking at the Monday evening session of the 3rd GECF Summit Meeting said that the Netherlands is interested in sharing its experience with GECF member countries, such as Iran, aimed at creating a more dynamic international gas market.
‘This is my first visit of Iran and thanks to this country’s educated youth and rich culture, I can predict a very bright future for this country, which is very impressing for me,’ he added.
The minister said that Iran’s gas resources are unique in the world and can serve as the feeding source for this energy in the world.
‘70% of the world’s gas resources are in the domain of the GECF countries and that makes this forum a strong economic lever in the world,’ reiterated Cum.
He said that the world usage of gas is increasing rapidly, which means the golden era for gas has already started, particularly since the world countries are getting increasingly worried about the global warming effect the earth atmosphere pollution, which both drives the attentions towards greater usage of natural gas.
