Iran and Serbia on Tuesday inked three Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) to broaden cooperation between the two states.

MoUs were signed by Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Rasim Ljajic and Iran’s Minister of Industries, Mines and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh on the sidelines of two countries’ 14th Joint Economic Commission.

The MoUs include a general MoU related to the 14th Joint Economic Commission, MoU on cooperation between public and private sectors as well as an MoU on cooperation between the two in the third markets.

Iranian and Serbian tourism officials are also expected to sign an MoU on tourism.

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Rasim Ljajic departed Belgrade for Tehran on Monday to attend the two countries’ 14th Joint Economic Commission.

Serbia’s minister of trade, telecommunications and tourism accompanied by an economic delegation comprising over 30 businessmen were also present in the joint meeting.

The MoUs signed between Iran and Serbia will help increase of cooperation between the two countries in all fields including trade, industry, mining, energy, agriculture transportation, technology, science, finance, sport, and tourism.
