Senegalese new ambassador to Iran on Tuesday welcomed proposal of Iranian MAPNA Group managing director for cooperation with Senegal in energy field.

MAPNA Group is an Iranian enterprise which operates in the area of construction and development of thermal power plants under EPC scheme, independent power plants (IPP), oil and gas as well as rail traction projects.
Abbas Aliabadi made the proposal in his meeting with Senegal’s Ambassador Babakr Baa, arguing that in light of Senegal’s geographical status by the coast of the Atlantic Ocean production of renewable energies is possible through construction of energy wind mills, solar power stations and hydropower generation farms.
Senegal’s new envoy to Iran has during the past days visited MAPN’s engineering workshops, Pars Generator Mfg. Company, machine manufacturing halls, generator and wind turbine assembly workshops, getting acquainted with MAPNA’s technical and engineering expertise.
Senegal is a country on Africa’s west coast known for its French colonial heritage and natural attractions.
Dakar, the capital, features the ancient Médina district and esteemed Musée Théodore Monod, displaying African art.
