Sweden Minister of Enterprise and Innovation Mikael Damberg on Sunday voiced his country’s readiness for further cooperation with Iran in various fields such as mines, trade, telecommunications and modern technologies.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh.
He said that removal of anti-Iran sanctions has prepared suitable grounds for boosting bilateral relations.
Describing mines, telecommunications and modern technologies as suitable areas of cooperation between the two countries, Damberg said that presence of successful companies in the fields of research and development as well as small- and medium-sized firms alongside digital economy have laid groundwork for promoting mutual collaboration.
Nematzadeh, for his part, said that development of domestic and foreign trade, innovation, using modern technologies, steel industry, electronics, food industries, fruits and vegetables, tractor manufacturing, energy, oil ad gas and chemistry engineering are among the most significant areas of cooperation between Tehran and Stockholm.
Referring to the role of industry, mines and trade in the country’s development, he added that the sector account for 35 percent of gross domestic products, showing the significance of the section of the economy.
‘Joint and long-term investment are among our main objectives and policies,’ Nematzadeh said, expressing Iran’s readiness for cooperation with Sweden not only in domestic market but also in the field of exports.
Nematzadeh said that Iranian customers are satisfied with the quality of buses produced in Sweden, calling for joint production of buses in Iran.
