Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh announced that the international oil companies have voiced their satisfaction in new oil contracts presented by Iran.
Zangeneh arrived in Vienna earlier today (on Thursday) to attend the 168th meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
‘We believe that the reaction of the international oil companies in the field of investment in Iran shows that they are happy for being able to have good cooperation within a specific framework with Iran,’ oil minister told reporters.
He underlined that Iran has signed preliminary contracts with some international companies and it is negotiating with the CEOs of some of those companies for investment in Iran.
Asked about reducing the ceiling OPEC production as of next year by Saudi Arabia, Zangeneh said, ‘We are scheduled to discuss the details with the OPEC members, but we have not taken any decision as yet.’
