Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade in the second day of his visit to Belarus visited several joint projects and promised the Iranian investors residing in Belarus that the Iranian government will support their activities.

The Iranian industry minister underlined the need for broadening of relations between Tehran and Minsk.

On Wednesday, Belarus Prime Minister Andrej Kabiakou called for enhancement of Tehran and Minsk economic relations.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh on the sidelines of 13th joint economic commission meeting between Iran and Belarus in Minsk.

Calling the removal of Iran and Belarus sanctions an opportunity for boosting all-out ties, the official said that Belarus companies have already invested 700 million dollars in Iran.

He referred to Iran-Belarus roadmap for expansion of bilateral ties and called for an increase in the current 75 million dollars annual trade exchange between the two countries to reach 250 million dollars by 2017.

Belarus is ready for cooperation with Iran in the areas of industry, science, technology, banking, agriculture, bilateral investments, manufacturing of mining and road-building machineries, Belarus Premier added.

He said that by signing preferential trade agreements, Tehran and Minsk could promote ties more effectively.

Iranian industry minister on Wednesday also met Belarus Trade Minister Vladimir Koltovic.

Iran Aluminum Company (IRALCO) and Chinese CRIC company signed an agreement for joint venture investment to the tune of two billion dollars.

The contract was signed by IRALCO Managing Director Majid Pourattar and International Relations Director of CRIC Company of China Hu Hai.
Pourattar said the the joint venture investment will be directed to activate the Number two site of IRALCO in Kheirabad Industrial Township, Markazi Province.
He said the site is located near the international airport and the nationwide railway and Kheirabad Industrial Town will in the near future turn to a special economic zone.

Chairman of South Korea’s international company ‘TYM’ said his country is seeking sustainable trade relations as well as investment in Iran.

Speaking to IRNA Tuesday on the sidelines of Iran-South Korea trade meeting, Hi Yong Kim said it takes time to achieve that end but it will happen in future.

Iran’s market enjoys good potentials, said he, hoping the banking problems between the two countries will be removed soon.

TYM, the global agricultural marketplace founded in 1951, is interested in Iranian market and will make investment here, he added.

TYM is hopeful about the future of Iran’s market, he noted.

South Korean President Park Geun-hye heading a 236-member delegation arrived in Tehran on Sunday.

On Monday, Iranian and South Korean officials inked 19 agreements on cooperation in the presence of the two countries’ presidents.

Iran’s National Gas Company and SKTELECOM of South Korea signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday to broaden cooperation for manufacture of gas equipment.

Iranian ministry of petroleum signed a huge deal with South Korean oil ministry and companies affiliated to the Iranian ministry in separate meetings singed different deals with their South Korean counterparts.
The MoUs were inked by Managing Director of Iran’s National Gas Company Hamid Reza Araqi, Director of International Relations at Iran’s National Gas Company Azizollah Ramazani and their South Korean counterparts.
Based on the MoU, Iran and South Korea would jointly produce electro meter as well as intelligence measuring equipment.
The managing director of SKTELECOM said his company is among the world’s biggest companies manufacturing precise electric meter systems as well as intelligence meter systems.
SKTELECOM is the second major company in the world active in manufacturing electric meter system a precision of 98 percent, he said.
According to Iran’s Customs Administration, the volume of mutual trade in 2015 when Iran was still under international economic sanctions stood at dlrs 4.28 billion with Iran’s imports from South Korea standing at dlrs. 4.35 billion and its exports to the country at dlrs. 250 million.

Today, the conditions and grounds have been prepared for attracting (foreign) investment, President Hassan Rouhani said.

Today, the world leaders who travel to Iran are accompanied by delegations consisting of representatives from tens of important economic companies, President Rouhani wrote on his picture-sharing app Instagram.

Tehran and Seoul will sign a comprehensive memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost oil exports and invest in LNG, refinery and petrochemical industry during South Korean president’s visit to Iran.

President Park Geun-hye arrived in Tehran Sunday for first time to open new chapter in the two countries’ economic cooperation, especially in the energy sector.
South Korean president’s visit to Tehran is considered the most significant since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries in 1962.
A delegation comprising 236 officials and heads of the biggest companies and industries is accompanying the president in her three-day visit.
During the visit, a number of directors of Korean big companies will sign memoranda of understanding after talks with their Iranian counterparts.
Petroleum Minister Bijan Zangeneh and Korean Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Chu Hyung-hwan are scheduled to sign a comprehensive MoU in a ceremony in presence of the two presidents.
Boosting Iran’s oil exports to South Korea, investment in LNG, marketing the product and investment in refineries and producing petrochemicals are among the main items of the deal.
Zangeneh said today after a meeting with the Korean Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kang Ho-in that Iran oil and gas condensates exports to South Korea will grow to 400,000 barrels a day in post-sanctions era.
Another memorandum of understanding will also be signed with South Korean energy minister, the Iranian minister said.
Zangeneh mentioned Iran LNG, development of South Pars 12th Phase and Bahman Geno Refinery in Jask are among the projects of interest for the Koreans.

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi said on Saturday that a document for promoting Iran-South Korea cooperation in the field of communications and information technology is being compiled to be signed by the two countries’ communications ministers soon.

Talking to IRNA, he said Iranian and South Korean companies involved in the communications and information technology sectors are to discuss avenues for boosting collaboration during South Korean delegation’s visit to Tehran.

Communications and Information Technology Ministry is seeking to compile a document on joint cooperation, but it will not be completed until the South Korean team’s visit to Tehran. Therefore, it is scheduled to be inked by the two countries’ ministers of communications.

Referring to the two countries’ good relations in the fields of communications and information technology before the implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Vaezi said that efforts are currently underway to further promote exchanges under current conditions.

South Korean companies including Samsung are active in Iran which will pave the way for expansion of mutual cooperation, he said.

South Korean President Park Geun-hye will start her three-day trip to Tehran Sunday at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani.

Signing several cooperation agreements, exploring ways of strengthening collaboration in the fields of energy, banking and insurance, infrastructure projects, health and treatment, science, technology and culture are on the agenda of the two countries’ officials.

A group of visiting Swiss economic directors called for making investments in Iran’s capital market.

The Swiss directors visited Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO) in Tehran and got familiarized with opportunities in post sanctions era in Iran, then expressed willingness to invest in Iran’s capital market.

The Swiss visitors hoped investment opportunities will expand in Iranian market.

Also, the Iranian officials at the SEO elaborated on the current situation in the organization.

As statistics show, foreign investors had remarkable presence in Iranian markets in February and March, just a month after announcement of ‘Implementation Day’ of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on January 16.

Managing Director of Central Securities Depository of Iran Mohammad Reza Hosseini had formerly announced that investors from 35 world countries are active in Iran’s capital market.

Iran’s Ambassador to Poland Ramin Mehmanparast said on Friday that the country welcomes Polish companies’ joint investment ventures with their Iranian counterpart in the oil and gas sectors.

In a meeting with Polish Energy Minister Krzysztof Tchórzewski, Mehmanparast also underscored Iran’s cooperation capacities in fields of trade and economy.

Mehmanparast also discussed areas of cooperation in arenas of fossil fuels, oil and gas, nuclear energy and renewable energies during the meeting.

He also said presence of Polish firms in Iran International Oil and Gas Exhibition will serve as an opportunity to promote mutual cooperation.

Tchórzewski, for his part, referred to his government’s resolve for cooperation with Iran, saying that energy is one of the major areas of cooperation for the two countries.

Polish administration is seeking diversity in meeting energy needs and given its numerous capabilities in fossil energy sector, Iran can serve as a good partner for Poland.

Polish energy minister voiced the companies’ readiness for participating in Iranian oil and gas projects and investment in the field.

A 35-people delegation from Polish oil and gas companies will arrive in Tehran on May 6 to attend the International Oil and Gas Exhibition.

Head and members of the Turkish side of Iran-Turkey Trade Council on Tuesday met and conferred with Iran’s new ambassador to Turkey Mohammad-Ebrahim Taherian, discussing lifting impediments on the way of cooperation of Iranian and Turkish private sectors.

The Turkish side included members of Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK).

The two sides exchanged views on ways and means of expanding bilateral cooperation in a new atmosphere created after recent visit of Iranian president to Turkey.

Taherian said Iranian and Turkish senior officials have always been emphasizing importance of expansion of commercial and economic relations to achieve the 30 billion dollar target with promotion of cooperation between their private sectors having the priority.

Taherian said Iran is ready to benefit from Turkey’s experience in various economic sectors and support relations between Iranian and Turkish private sectors in a comprehensive manner.
